Frostytech is working on its extensive full review of the NoFan Fanless computer set (the Nofan A40), but in the mean time we thought we'd give you a sneak peak at NoFan's absolutely unique and never before seen 100% passive heatsink - the Nofan CR-100A. Hint, the entire heatsink is basically one large loop heatpipe, termed a Fluid Dynamic Pipe (FDP).

The NoFan CR-100A is a passive heatsink that stands 132mm tall, is 226mm in diameter and weighs a feathery 763 grams. No heatsink fan is needed and no fan or forced airflow in the case is required. Cooling is entirely passive, convective airflow from hot air rising. Best of all, it actually works. Aside from its large size, a necessary aspect of any passive heatsink, the only limitation to the NoFan CR-100A heatsink is that it's limited to CPUs of 100W TDP or less.

Note, NoFAN recently changed its name to NoFAN Computer to NoFEN Computer. [NOFAN COMPUTER] via [Frostytech.com]
